- I am a photojournalist based in London and have spent the past ten years working for the Times, covering news and features assignments worldwide. I’ve been to war zones in Iraq and Afghanistan, covered the aftermath of the Asian tsunami, and the work of charities in Sierra Leone and Sudan. I am regularly commissioned for portraits and my subjects have included Hollywood celebrities, business leaders and world statesmen. I have also worked for the Independent and have had photographs published in every UK national newspaper and a number of magazines.
- At a wedding it means having confidence in your ability to document the day as it naturally unfolds, telling the story and capturing the emotion without having to create cheesy set-ups and without asking you to pose every two minutes. My pictures of your wedding will be a record of your day as it happened – not a record of all the silly things the photographer asked you to do!
- For a short time in the day I’ll take you off for a little wander. It’s actually a nice opportunity to have a quiet moment together, probably your first minutes alone as a married couple. I’ll photograph some relaxed portraits and you both chatting and laughing together, and I’ll be quick so you can get back to your guests. There are usually some group photos too. Nobody likes hanging around for ages so I’ll do it quickly and make it enjoyable so everyone can get back to the fun.
